With over three decades of service to those aided by The Extension, Tyler has been with the organization since 1989, which was then known as the Marietta-Cobb Winter Shelter. He was named Executive Director in 1995. Prior to that time he worked for MUST Ministries, the Salvation Army and Greenpeace International.

Barbara Frost
Director of Administration
Barbara handles a wide range of duties in this position.  She is responsible for all financial aspects of the organization, personnel issues, and coordinates office management. She has been with The Extension for over 19 years and has over 34 years’ experience in the Executive Assistant field.

Renee McCormick 
Director of Community Relations 
Renee holds a BA degree in Communications from Mercer University and  works in development, special events, donor communications and volunteer relations. With years of experience in inner city ministry and working with government, religious and nonprofit organizations, she acts as a public speaker and ambassador for The Extension.

Stephanie Sheridan 
Assistant Director of Administration 
Stephanie started volunteering with us in November 2017 as a Life Skills Trainer at the Men’s campus. In February 2019, we had the pleasure of adding her to our Administration team. Stephanie supports Barb and all of The Extension staff. She has 20 years of banking and wealth management experience with a BA in Finance from Kennesaw State University, along with another three years of experience in non-profit work. Stephanie still teaches our Life Skills classes today.

Robert Jordan, NCAC, CAC, CAMS II, MATS
Men’s Program Director
Robert has been in the field of Addiction for twelve years. He studied under Dr. Diane Sherman, PHD and received his Certification of Addiction Counseling in 2013. Robert is a 10 year Naval Veteran, originally from New Jersey, and settled in Atlanta upon his Naval discharge. Robert is also a proud member of Civitan International in Marietta and is pursuing a degree in Psychology with a 4.0 in his Junior year.

Cher Randall, BS, CADCII, CAMSII
Women’s Program Director
Cher Randall has worked in the addiction field for over 10 years and holds a B.S. in Education from Georgia State University.  Before moving into her current role, Cher served as the Assistant Director of the men’s program and the Director of Quality Control and Compliance for The Extension. She is an active member of the Cobb County Homeless Counsel.  In addition, Cher is a Certified TB Skin Test Administrator.

Melissa Baden, CACI


After studying Psychology and Music at the University of Georgia, Melissa began the process of obtaining a CAC credential under Dr. Diane Sherman. Melissa has worked in this field for three years, and hopes to continue this work for many more. As someone who has experienced homelessness and is in recovery herself, Melissa has a deep passion for this restorative work. She takes a holistic, person-centered approach, emphasizing acceptance and hope above everything. It is Melissa’s hope that her work in this field creates a safe space which facilitates a process of profound change, so that those struggling with substance use disorders are able to achieve and maintain sobriety long after transitioning from treatment.

Bruce Cerbone, MA, BCPC, CACI, CCTP
Bruce has a passion for counseling and mentoring men to reach beyond their perceived potential and help them begin to pursue their life purpose. This passion drew him to The Extension to help our residents move beyond the chains of the past and help them see life free from the chains of addiction. Bruce holds a Master’s Degree in Counseling from Liberty University, is a Board Certified Pastoral Counselor, a Certified Addiction Counselor and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional.

Cody Davis, CACI, CRS
Cody has been serving in the Substance Use Disorder field for 3 years. He is a Certified Addiction Counselor, a Certified Recovery Specialist, and a Anger Resolution Blueprint Specialist. Cody has studied under Dr. Diane Sherman for his CAC and under Dr. Judith Landau for his national credentialing. Cody’s passion for working with homeless men stems from his own personal experience with battling addiction and homelessness himself. He strongly believes in personal, individualized care and building treatment plans specific for each person’s needs with a direct and compassionate approach

Colin Freeland, BS, CAC II
Colin has worked in the substance use disorder treatment field since 2014 in a variety of settings. Colin completed his undergraduate work in psychology with an emphasis in positive psychology and he operates from a strength based perspective. Colin holds credentials as a level two Certified Addictions Counselor in Georgia. He currently holds a 4.0 GPA in Mercer University’s Clinical Mental Health program and was recently awarded the Masters Student of Excellence by the university’s chapter of Chi Sigma Iota, an international counseling honor society.

Christy Hamby, CACI
Christy has been affiliated with the Extension since 2014, initially as a participant with successful completion and then serving the community as the Property Manager for 2 years. She studied with ACTS Consulting, completed CAC classes and received her CIT in 2016.  Christy recently joined the full time staff as the Case Manager/CIT at the Women’s campus. Her passion is to give back to the place that changed her life.

Cyndi Hall, CIT
Case Manager
Cyndi was a resident in the first transition group of The Extension-Women’s Campus ‘2010’ and has sponsored women for 8 years. Cyndi loves being part of and facilitating all transitions. She has held a position as President of the The Extension’s Alumni association in 2016 and is studying with ACTS Consulting to complete her CAC classes to receive her Certification as an Addiction Counselor. Cyndi is a full time employee and has always dreamed of working with women who suffer from addiction

Tony Stanley, CACI, CES
Tony is a Certified Addiction Counselor, Certified Experiential Specialist and Anger Resolution Blueprint Certified Specialist. He is a student at Kennesaw State University with a major in Psychology. Tony has a passion for counseling men who struggle with addiction individually and in a group atmosphere.  He believes in the power of being in the moment and uses his background in comedic stand up and improv to bring authenticity to his sessions.
