Approaching three decades of service to those aided by The Extension, Tyler has been with the organization since 1989, which was then known as the Marietta-Cobb Winter Shelter. He was named Executive Director in 1995. Prior to that time he worked for MUST Ministries, the Salvation Army and Greenpeace International.

Barbara Frost
Director of Administration
Barbara handles a wide range of duties in this position.  She is responsible for all financial aspects of the organization, personnel issues, and coordinates office management.    She has been with The Extension for over 14 years and has over 30 years’ experience in the Executive Assistant field.

Robert Jordan, CACI
Men’s Program Director
Robert has been in the field of Addiction for seven years. He studied under Dr. Diane Sherman, PHD and received his Certification of Addiction Counseling in 2013. Robert is a 10 year Naval Veteran originally from New Jersey and settled in Atlanta upon his Naval discharge and proudly calls it home.

Wynema Barber, CACII, CCS
Women’s Program Director
Working in the addiction treatment field 20+ years, Wynema is certified by the National Association Alcohol Drug Addiction Counselors (NAADAC), and by the Georgia Addiction Counselors Association (GACA) as well as a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist by the International Institute for Trauma and Sex Addiction Professionals. She studied at University of Georgia and Kennesaw State University.

Bert Scott, CACI
Addiction Counselor
Bert is a counselor in Phase 1 specializing in Trauma Informed Care and Family Counseling. He served as Board Chairperson in 2002-2003 and as volunteer counselor introducing a 12 Step Facilitation Program. Bert became a full-time staff member in 2009 and a CAC1 in 2011. Bert was awarded New Counselor of the Year by the Georgia Addiction Counselors Association (GACA) in 2012.

Cher Randall, BS
Case Manager & Outreach Coordinator
Cher Randall has worked with homeless men and women addicted to drugs and alcohol for over eight years and holds a B.S. in Education from Georgia State University.  She worked as a teacher prior to entering the field and is currently the case manager at the women’s program.  In addition, she is a Certified TB Skin Test Administrator and working towards certifying as an addiction counselor.

Colin Freeland CACI
Addiction Counselor
Colin is an alumnus of our men’s program and a former employee of Ridgeview Institute.  Colin is certified through GACA as an Addictions Counselor and soon to complete his B.S. in Psychology at a local University.  Colin then plans to attend graduate school to eventually become a Licensed Professional Counselor. He has been involved in our organization in many different capacities and is currently one of our Phase 1 counselors.  Colin brings commitment, experience, and empathy to each of our clients..

John Blalock, CACI
Addiction Counselor
Retired from the Army after serving 22 years, John was employed by Sprint for 10 years then worked at SIOGA counseling center, while working towards his certification to become a CACI. He came to The Extension to volunteer, as a counselor in training, then was hired and soon after received his certification as a CACI.

Courtney McClure, BS, CARES
Case Manager
Courtney is a valuable asset and the newest member of our team. She is pursuing her certification as an Addiction Counselor. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Human Services with a concentration in Case Management from Kennesaw State University. She is also a Certified Addiction Recovery Empowerment Specialist (CARES). She believes in the power of recovery and is passionate about helping others.
